Breath of Fire (video game)

Breath of Fire is a role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released in Japan on March 1, 1993; this release was followed by an English localization with significant changes made to the script and graphics that were released to North America in June 30, 1993.

Breath of Fire II

Breath of Fire II is a role-playing game that was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. It was also ported to other platforms, such as the Game Boy Advance and PlayStation 2. It has since been re-released on several platforms including Virtual Console for Wii U and 3DS as well as for GBC and PS2.

Breath of Fire III

Breath of Fire III is the third installment in the Breath of Fire series and was released by Capcom in 1998. It follows Ryu, a young man who has a dragon's soul and must search for the lost pieces of his soul. The story takes place in an alternate medieval China during an era when humans are able to transform into dragons with the help of gems called Dragon Tails that contain magical power.

The game was also developed by Capcom and published by them as well. It is available on PlayStation 2 games consoles only at this time but may be ported over to other platforms later on down the line if there is sufficient demand for such an effort.

Breath of Fire IV

Breath of Fire IV was released in 1996 for the Sony PlayStation. It's a role-playing game, meaning that you control a party of characters and guide them through the world while they gain experience and abilities.

The Breath of Fire series started on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993 with Breath of Fire II, which had a more traditional turn-based combat system but retained many other elements such as story-driven plotlines, characters who would grow as they gained experience points in battle, and even some sidequests similar to those seen in modern RPGs like Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter or Final Fantasy X. The third entry introduced major changes to the combat mechanics while retaining some aspects from previous games; however it was not well received by fans due to its focus on science fiction instead of fantasy.

Breath of Fire V

Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter was released in 2003 and is the fifth game in the Breath of Fire series. It was developed by Capcom, and it's a role-playing video game for PlayStation 2. Set in an apocalyptic world where humanity lives underground after a great war caused by an evil force called "Mana" ended up with most of humanity dead, you play as Ryu, one of several characters who have special abilities called "Dragon Slayers". The story follows Ryu as he tries to find a way for humans to survive on the surface again.

Breath of Fire VI

Breath of Fire VI is the sixth game in the Breath of Fire series and was released in 2006. It was developed by Capcom and published by Capcom for PlayStation 2, Wii and Nintendo 3DS. The player characters that you can choose from are Ryu, Nina, Bo (who comes back as a playable character), Jiao (who returns later on) and Rei (a child who joins your party). The gameplay is standard role-playing game fare: you travel through a world map, fighting enemies along the way until you reach an enemy base where there will be a dungeon with long corridors filled with foes to fight until you reach its boss.
